Valentine Bugs Felt Board

Using the boards and shapes that we already made from our Winter Felt Friends, I cut out a bunch of hearts in different sizes and let the kids loose with them. At first, they weren't sure what to make, but when I suggested bugs, a lightbulb went off and there was no stopping them. They spent over an hour playing with their felt boards today. They really love them.

Those bugs turned out really cute! Your post inspired me to cut felt hearts out for my kids yesterday. They are too small to make their own bugs, but they group them into little heart families, which is pretty cute. I love felt board activities!

I love this! I was looking for something new to put out in the manipulatives area in my classroom and this is just the thing. Super easy, educational, and tons of fun!

It is truly incredible to watch youngsters create with various manipultives. Their mind are sponges and by mere suggestion create what they see and feel. Such a wonderful learning experience developing critical thinking for their future.
